Tapping Points Introduction

EFT therapy is based on talking therapy and body therapy where you tap on acupressure points while talking through the traumatic event or issue. Tapping these points in the body eases negative feelings and provides inner peace and calmness. The details of the tapping points are below:

EFT Tapping Points

The following are the major tapping points in the human body which we use during EFT:

Karate Chop Tapping Point

The process starts with tapping the karate chop point. This point is located below the little finger along the side of the hand. The karate chop tapping point is the first point to be tapped. The other tapping points are tapped after this one.

Top of the Head Tapping Point

The top of the head tapping point is tapped using the fingertips of one or both the hands.

Eyebrow Tapping Point

The eyebrow tapping point is located at the start of the inner eyebrow and you usually use both hands to tap on both eyebrows.

Side of the Eye Tapping Point

The side of the eye tapping points are located on the bones outside the eyes. Both hands are usually used to tap on either side of the eye.

Under the Eye Tapping Point

Under the eye tapping point is located on the bone below the eyes. It is important to be gentle while tapping this point as it is a sensitive area. Once again both hands are generally used to tap under both eyes.

Under the Nose Tapping Point

Under the nose tapping point is located midway between bottom of the nose and the upper lip. It can be tapped using one hand only, usually the three middle finger tips.

Chin Tapping Point

Chin tapping point is located in the middle of the lower lip and the chin bone. It can be tapped using the middle three finger tips.

Collarbone Tapping Point

The collarbone tapping point is located about a hand down from the chin. Use both hands to tap on both sides of the collarbone in the middle of your chest.

Under the Arm Tapping Point

This tapping point is located about a hand below the armpit.
