Healthy Living with EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique):

EFT is one of the powerful self-help methods based on research that shows emotional trauma contributes greatly to various diseases and physical and emotional ailments. EFT (also known as tapping) can reduce and reverse the impact of trauma and memories which trigger emotional distress and provide a complete healthy living.

Can Self-Sabotage Hinder a Healthy Living?

 

Self-sabotage or psychological reversal is a very real problem for many people. This is where you unconsciously stop yourself from achieving what you want and never reaching your full potential. This can also be cause for why people have relapses or conditions because there is a benefit for keeping yourself in the misery. A secondary benefit is when a person has a reason, consciously or unconsciously, to remain in an undesirable condition. This helps to explain why we keep stumbling over obstacles when it comes to achieving what we want. So, while your conscious mind may be saying, “I want to solve this problem,” your subconscious screams “No, I do not want to!”

For instance you want to lose weight. You have been eating well and exercising and you are still finding it difficult to lose weight. Having extra weight is subconsciously a protection. You are protecting yourself from negative things happening. Perhaps you were bullied when you were younger and after this event you started putting on weight. If we don’t get to the root cause and use EFT to help resolve these issues then generally you will not get to the goal weight you want and have a healthy living.

 

 

What is EFT?

Very painful memories can control your life, influencing where you are going to choose to live, what career you are going to study or the type of people you will be around.

That’s why EFT pays more attention to the real causes of the problem and not just the symptoms. So the original emotion from the trauma you encountered is what needs to be resolved in order to move on for healthy living. For example: “I feel abandoned because my dad left when I was 3.” “I’m always anxious at work because of the confrontation I had with a bully.” “I cannot do anything right because I was told this when I was a child.” The core issue may be something very simple but it sets you up for a pattern that you repeat in your life and without resolving this you won’t be able have a healthy living.

Knowing when the problem started or what could be contributing to it leads us to the specific events that would sustain it. Often my clients can’t remember what happened when they were 3 so we also do a relaxation technique to help your subconscious brain bring out the trauma so that it can be resolved. Once you go through a few sessions of EFT, you will be well on your way to healthy living.
