The Discovery of EFT has become a Positive Psychology alternative

Positive psychology majorly revolves around studying and finding ways in which to introduce a helpful method in which an individual can harness his emotions positively in order to live a life full of positivity. However, with the discovery of EFT, we have found an alternative to positive psychology that can completely resolve core issues without having to train the brain to find positives. In the recent years, there has been a close associated between EFT and positive psychology. Using EFT as positive psychology alternative is simple to use and helps to achieve relaxation. Here are a number of steps in which to follow when trying to use EFT as a positive psychology alternative.

Steps of performing EFT

First, you need to be aware of the problem at hand or identify the problem. The for instance could be work related stress. We think about a recent event, rate it out of 10 (how emotional you are), what emotions you are feeling and where in the body you feel it.

We tap on the side of the hand and talk about the things that are causing our stress and then go through the various tapping points on the head and body and do a few rounds.

Third step is gauging how your problems are after tapping. Is it still rated the same as before? Have the emotions changed or moved in the body?

If there is still an intensity higher than a 0, you need to keep tapping. If you are at a 0 then congratulations you have resolved that aspect.
If you can’t get to a 0 then it’s possible there are other underlying issues that need to be worked on in order to resolve the current situation. Also if you haven’t resolved all aspects of the event it is possible it can come up again.

Once you have resolved the issue you can see how EFT can be a great alternative to positive psychology as it automatically replaces your thoughts and feelings without you having to work hard on changing your thought patterns.
