How EFT Tapping helps to treat Mental Health Issues

In order to resolve mental health issues, it is very important to continue to consult with your doctor and follow the guidelines of how to do EFT. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a very versatile and easy to use tool The results are fast (sometimes in a few minutes) and it helps in a great variety of physical and emotional mental health issues, such as anxious tendancies, stress, phobias, fears, anguish, frustration, self- sabotage, insecurities, problems of overweight, guilt, anger, traumas, addictions, migraines and physical pain in general.

How EFT and Cognitive Psychology (alternative) Works

Did you know that the emotional freedom technique can play a big role as far as cognitive psychology is concerned? It is important to understand how cognitive psychology works and how EFT can be used as a cognitive psychology alternative. It is basically the study of mental processes which include attention, the use of language, memory usage and perception, problem solving and creativity and thinking. EFT can be used to resolve traumatic issues around these processes as an alternative to cognitive psychology.

Treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Using Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Post-traumatic stress disorder is a mental disorder which develops due to exposure to some form of traumatic event like war, natural disaster, terrorist acts, violence etc. They have difficulties in adjusting to the effects of the traumatic events. Most people suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder re-live these traumatic events in the form of nightmares, flashbacks etc. and they move into states of sadness, depression, anxiety etc. People experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder generally remain aloof and are unable to live a normal life. The symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder may start appearing within a month from the occurrence of the traumatic event. However, in some cases, the symptoms may be visible after few years also. EFT therapy is being widely used as an effective form of alternative treatment technique for treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder.

Treating Anxiety Using Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Due to the fast lifestyle and stressed working conditions, most people experience anxiety in their lives. Anxiety is the most common form of mental disorder and it currently affects more than 7% of the world’s population. In Australia, about 26% of the adult population is affected by anxiety once in their lifetime while 14% are affected by anxiety disorders. The article discussed how anxiety can be treated using Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or tapping as it is known commonly.

Therapies for Treating Mental Health

Alternative therapies are being widely used to treat mental health. It has provided promising results in treatment of mental health. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that about 450 million people are affected by mental health problems. Approximately 20% of the adult Australian population experience mental health problems. Of the 20% of the adult population experiencing mental health issues, 11.5% have one mental disorder and 8.5% have two or more disorders. I came and saw Meagan for a trial a week ago to tackle my craving and addiction and I am surprised but also ecstatic to report that I have not had one biscuit since our session!

Meagan is fantastic. She is warm and accomodating and made me feel at ease so quickly and effortlessly. I was really apprehensive about the session and also skeptical. But in our discussion between tapping there were some personal revelations and some laughs (from me). It was quite enjoyable.

Once we finished and when I thought about the mint slices, as asked There was a sense of dullness. I didn’t NEED the biscuits. I took the biscuits home and popped them in my fridge. I saw them there and felt that same dullness. I could leave them there and did. It’s been a week now and I still have not felt the need to have them. My partner opened them and left half a packet and I still didn’t need them or really want them as i desperately did before.

I haven’t eaten a mint slice in a week! Absolutely amazing!!

Self acceptance was something I have struggled with all of my life.
