With an ever-changing lifestyle and hectic schedule, depression has become a common disorder. WHO estimates that more than 300 million people globally are affected by depression. About 15% of the adult Australian population is likely to be affected by depression once in their lifetime. Depression has the third-highest burden of all diseases in Australia at 13%. It is estimated that 17% of all the women and 13% of men are likely to experience depression at least once in their lifetime. There are many therapies for treating depression. The current article examines the effectiveness of EFT as an alternative therapy for treating depression.
